My son purchased a stunning piece of fabric from Japan featuring elegant ginkgo leaves. These leaves are not only visually captivating but also stand as powerful symbols of hope, strength, and resilience.
The fabric's background color is army brown with grey ginkgo leaves. While I easily found the grey fabric, sourcing the army brown material proved to be a challenge. Despite searching through nearby quilt shops and those in Fabric Town during my visit to Tokyo, I was unable to find the right shade. Even attempts to dye the fabric were unsuccessful. Eventually, I decided to quilt the ginkgo leaves using brown thread, and the result turned out beautifully.
