Honey Creeper In Bamboo

Updated: Jul 17, 2020

The black and red honeycreeper is a small bird in the tanager family. It inhabits the rainforests around Volcanoes National Park on the Big Island of Hawaii. Sylvia Pipper, who designed this pattern, took the honeycreeper out of its native habitat and placed it among bamboo and monstera leaves, which are both exotic and beautiful plants found on the Big Island. The beauty and diversity of the Island inspires the design of this “Hawaiian” wall hanging.
