Freedom Quilt

Updated: Jul 17, 2020

Sharon Rotz introduced the freedom block format in her book, Log Cabin Quilts with Attitude. The object of this format is to use any excess fabric you have collected or any bits and pieces left over from other projects. This quilt can be made to be any size and new fabrics can always be added to the mix as you go. Once the log cabin block is done, you can trim it on an angle to give it a new look. You can also trim the blocks to be different lengths, making the quilt your desired length. This format lets you be free to create a very unique quilt.
