Once Upon A Time

Updated: Jul 17, 2020

At the Guild, Kelly DuMaresq introduced the “Spell it with Fabric” pattern. I wanted to create a quilt, not only using the alphabets, but with a saying sewn on the fabric. I found the pattern “ABC Read with Me” from modabakeshop.com with all the books and the saying, “Please read with me,” in between them. I changed the saying to read “Once upon a time… Happily ever after.” This is normally how a fairy tale starts and ends. I love fairy tales. The twenty-six letters of the alphabet make up the border and I used different fabric designs for each alphabet. It is a very cheerful quilt.
